Hi, I’m Pablo Diaz De Leon Hicks—a CG Generalist, Previs Artist, and Animator passionate about animation and storytelling. I love telling or helping bring meaningful stories and projects to life, hoping to leave a lasting positive impact through my work.
I’ve been lucky to work on exciting projects like Disney’s "TRON: Ares" and "Stranger Things 5," contributing as an Animator/Previs and Postvis Artist. I also completed a 3D Animation Apprenticeship at Technicolor Creative Studios and spent over a year as a 3D Animator at Mighty Animation.
I’m currently finishing my MFA in Animation at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, graduating in May 2025. Along the way, I’ve been honored to receive awards such as the Jenkins-Del Toro Award (2023), the John Huston Directing Scholarship, and the Annenberg and 20th Century Fellowships. Before USC, I earned my BFA in Animation from ITESM (2021).
I’ve also directed personal and student projects, including "Juntos en la Distancia" (2020 Cartoon Network TV Spot), "A Battle’s Toll" (2021), "The Blue Stag" (2023, with a VR version in 2024), and "Rooster & Terry" (2023).
